Hi, About a month ago I built my new computer. since then it has been constantly freezing. It does not freeze in safe mode. If My computer is under load it does not freeze but when left idle for 5 minutes the computer will freeze. The cursor will not move and have no response. I will have to hold the power button to restart. I tried : reinstalling Windows, wiping the PC, Memory test to see if ram was at fault, reinstalling graphics drivers, updating bios, malware and virus scan. I don't know what to do so any help is appreciated, I went to a computer repair shop and they were unable to fix it? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. I think this might be the most likely culprit. Mechanical drives can go bad and cause problems like you are experiencing. If you completely reformat reinstall that will correct minor problems. You might want to buy a new internal drive In case there is a mechanical problem. Put it in and install the os on it. Try a different usb port for your mouse. maybe there is some bad circuitry. Disable any notifications. I have found that the default notifications causes a lot of chatter to computers and older machines can't take it
