Every time I come here I hear crickets chirp sand watch lonley tumble weeds roll by I hear more "peace" than rancor though so I keep coming back. I just need to get into the habit of coming here.

I have been trying to update my notifications to let me know when there is activity here. Thus far, the updates I've made with my iPod haven't 'stuck.' I just tried again from Windows. We'll see how it works. Without the notifications, I tend to check here just once a day.

You can select options to get notifications by email. Click Profile, Edit Profile, Notifications.

I usually just use Tapatalk to get notifications on my phone.

Thank you. But just realized I rather rarely check email nowadays. A text instead of email would be cool. ☺

I'm thinking I should close this thread because it has run its course and people are tired of it.

I don't see the need to moderate. Of course, if no one posts anything...

I've changed my notifications and now am much more aware of what is going on here.

I've changed my notifications and now am much more aware of what is going on here. Well. I did that, too, and it even's told me my changes were "SAVED." But yet there have been many postings here over the last how many days since I changed it, but it still has not told me about them in my email (like I told it to). Perhaps it's once again that mobile ~vs~ desktop problem. But I would think that if it didn't work in Mobile at all, the ability to change would not show up there, and you'd have to change over to desktop to even TRY to change notifications.just don't get it, but will try again!! (or does the mobile work better for Android/iPhone, & it's a Windows (phone) thing again?? Ho-hum . . . . 😜

I couldn't get it to stick on the mobile app. Had to use the desktop. Oh, so it showed up for you, too, in mobile. Means it isn't a W phone thing this time. Thanks. 😉

I have the opposite problem .I was getting so many notifications , up to 30 to 40 a day I tried to turn off all notifications and it hasn't worked . I still get multiple notifications , say 6 for 3 or less posts .
Edited to add .Just got 2 alerts and there were no new posts .

And those 3 things could all be about only one post?? I've wondered if just clicking on NEW POST would be enough because it doesn't matter what kind of post, that should cover all of them??

I have everything at " never" except "personal message " . Got a half dozen more notifications and there were 2 new posts . This started happening so I went in and turned it all off . I will check on my own a couple times or more a day .

I saw this in Scott's post in the NazNet Fellowship Facebook page today.
Seemed like a good idea. I seldom posted at the old NazNet forum in the past few years but I thought I'd sign up here to see who all is involved from the old forum.

There hasn't been a whole lot of activity and the audience is quite a bit smaller than facebook. That's why I posted the last post on facebook knowing more would see it. Sure would have liked the discussion in this format better. And, it wouldn't have gotten shut down.

Well, I just happened over into the Facebook NazNet place. I see where someone mentioned how many hundreds of post over 8 days. A discussion all about old versus new NazNet!? (or what, exactly?) Apparently missed t all, but not like I really need to read it all. 😜😊

It is probably the one that had hundreds of postings within a few days. I didn't think it was THAT BAD. I've seen worse ones on the old NN. I didn't see much of the second one other than seeing the Admin's comments about the old vs. new.

The post did not get deleted on the NazNet Fellowship page, it's still there. Comments have been shut off, so the conversation will die and the post will get pushed down in the news feed so it won't be seen again unless you actually search for it. I thought the conversation was actually pretty civil, the moderators did delete some comments and I'm not even sure what they were about and who wrote them. It has 657 comments even after some were deleted. This was my original post on October 18: As hundreds of Nazarene Charismatics gather in Texas this weekend, it may be helpful to remind ourselves what can be expected from ministries that embrace these NAR teachings. I could write my own story of the division this movement will bring to your local church family, but here is a story from a former Nazarene: bereanresearch.org/leaving-nar-church-bens-story/Also, remember these words from the BOGS: "Furthermore, we believe that our people should not participate in services or meetings which encourage the practice of speaking in tongues or schedule in our churches speakers or singers who are known to be active in the so-called charismatic movement."

I love how SC referred to this site as your "shadow site". Does that make this part of the Dark Web?

(I have to give up trying to put a cute picture on this post. Have tried in 2 different browsers, and in desktop mode as well. Just not gonna make it on this phone, I guess.). 😜😢
