For Marg, in remembrance of the old NazNet thread she said she'd miss. π
How's this?
Did it work??
Yes, it did! πΆ π πΆ

Just read some HELP. Says there are buttons to use, such as B, I, U, along with font and color options without using the html I tried that didn't work. See absolutely nothing like that. Must be only seen via the "desktop" mode, right?
Well, guess we'll try that for a bit, but not really good here, as print gets even smaller.

OK, we finally have our purple Comic Sans MS.
Takes forever to find the right color, b/c I realizedΒ I had to touch a good ways from the spot I really wanted to get the right color (kept getting bright orangey-red when trying for purple (May be either site or funky phone doing that) Hardly wants to move, so have to go back to mobile from desktop.

Hey!! I see signature pasted from old NazNet worked! So if anyone wants to bring theirs here . . .
Lot of work doing html manually, like we just did here!

Where did you go to change the font?

Where did you go to change the font? If you are typing in the Quick Reply box you don't have the editor options. You need to hit the Reply button at the top or quote another post. That will open up the editor with all of the options.

Also see my signature, seen in good form last night, is missing today. Hmmmm . . . maybe that option eliminated as a space-saving feature now? π
Oops! Tried desktop. THAT is where you see it. It's missing from Mobile format.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MARK B, if you're on mobile, you get to write out your own font change. You use the squarish brackets where I put the squiggly ones so they show up. Also, you put the name in quotes. Mine looked like this: {font="comic Sans MS"} then at the end, the slash before font {/font}.
Just peek at the fonts available in the desktop mode to find what to type there in lieu of the one I used if you don't like that one. π
Dear future reader, If you come looking for the oldest posts you can find because the forum is being shut down and deleted. Please convince them that thoughts, ideas and relationships shouldn't belong to any one person. And if the person running this forum is tired and ready to stop then encourage them to ask if any others would take over before simply deleting it.
You don't just delete years of people's lives . . . . and they cannot always FIND all the significant threads before shutdown time to download to wherever. π’
Yes, you usually see more starting out at HOME (tho' there seems to be a color problem at the moment leaving several things invisible here).
I can see why they wanted to stop moderating both the old DotCom and the new fb. However, I would think they could have closed all the threads while leaving the server up as read only. It is a shame to loose all that history. We still may be able to access Google's cached version of the old DotCom once it is shut down, if you know what to search for.
Is there a way to edit a post? I just noticed I didn't check my auto correct and I have loose history instead of lose history. It looks like the posts can be edited indefinitely, but you might need to sneak up on them. If you go to your profile and click "recent posts," they have an edit button. I think I saw the edit button in other views also, but not consistently. Alternatively, we can imagine our old NazNet history out wandering loose somewhere. Save
