Link to NATIONAL PARKS SENIOR (62+} *LIFETIME* PASS. It's going up from $10 to $80 August 28, 2017. Quite a jump in price! Here's where to get one (four in a vehicle, incl the one w/the nontransferable pass, can get in w/the pass. And 16-under, or under 16 ~~ read the FAQ, as we forget now ~~ get in free): yourpassnow.com/ParkPass/park/senior/SeniorPassInfoCollect

Got it in mail yesterday. "Only" took a couple of months. But then, nobody expected to get here fast with the price going up so much. There were probably thousands of people that applied at the last minute, like I did. ☺

I don't think I have one near enough to me to justify getting one.

I don't think I have one near enough to me to justify getting one. The $20 ($10+ $10-online fee, if one didn't get to a park in person before the deadline) was worth it if we can get out to AZ again, even, because one-time visits went up, too, I believe. And this is a lifetime pass. But it started at 62, anyway, Susan, so you weren't "quite" old enough by Aug. 28 for it. AARP lets ppl join the "seniors" at 50, but not the National Park Service. 😜🙃😉 (curious now, as I forget the new senior daily rate; forget so will have to look it up).
