Hey y'all! This place is starting to worry me. 😌
we are well into the 16th. It's afternoon here, and looks like the last post I see anywhere is from the 12th . . . that's four (4) days ago, guys! (generic, incl. us gals, too). 🙃
Let's not let this get to where it ends up . . . 🌼 RIP 🌼

We could ask questions like the fb NazNet.
Would you call a __________ as your pastor?

I'm embarrassed by the number of threads I've started and am the last to comment on. Discussion is not a strength of mine. I'm horrible at small talk or getting people to talk to each other in groups. We need someone on here who can provoke a gab fest.

Just been busy. Facebook is easier as it is like the local store where everyone sits and shoots the breeze. Whereas a forum like this is more like a book club where you have to intentionally go and then have deeper conversations.

And at this point FB has better posts and interesting discussions. But the annoying format makes me miss naznet.

And at this point FB has better posts and interesting discussions. But the annoying format makes me miss naznet. I see a post on FB with 243 replies and don't even bother. I have other things to do. Besides, if I want to be part of a heavily moderated discussion involving traditional Nazarene views I can go to church and talk to real people instead of spending more time staring at a screen and having to type all my responses. I like being able to keep up with what is happening here. And I like the tone here better than either NazNet or NazToo on FB. Thank you, Kevin for your efforts. And thanks to Greg and Kyle and others for adding content. Still, I'm not participating like I did on the .com. I think I'm just in a season of life where I need to invest less in internet discussions and more in my local context. My husband is currently in Arizona on his second W&W trip since retiring. But my heart is with the community around me. There are SO many people to invest my life in. My time as a NazNetter has given me the confidence to trust what I see in the Gospels and push back against the lack of grace I see in the church while reaching out to "the least of these." (Hopefully, with grace for the graceless people, although that's a huge challenge.) Our interim pastor for the past three months is taking a couple of weeks off and will then become our official pastor on October 8th. I am blown away by how God has prepared him for this assignment and brought him to us and am excited to see what happens next. In the words of Nelson Bradford... Isn't God good?

I'm getting a little tired of trying to keep up with the FB posts. I'm with you Marsha, when I see hundreds of comments, I have to stop and think do I want to read through them and try to follow the conversation or just move on. Then there is the back and forth I have had with someone only to have their half of the conversation deleted. I'm learning to just walk away, and not needing to have the last word.
