I loved the Cubs win last night Now they just need to bring it on home tonight. Mom stayed up til 2 am to watch her Dodgers clinch the western division. And then after the Cubs win, we'll be living in a split household.

Well, last night was a bit of a curve ball so to speak in both games. First, I was totally shocked that the Indians are now out of the running for the World Series. Never ever saw that coming. I was kind of hoping for a Cubs/Indians rematch. Well, pooh.
And then that game at Wrigley just looked nasty. The weather was horrible. I could not imagine playing in it or sitting in it. And I wasn't happy with that score either. The Cubs better win today. I want to see the Cubs vs the Dodgers.

Sounds like Cubs fans for 108 years.

Oh my word, last night's Cubs/Nationals game was INTENSE! It reminded me of last year's game 7 of the World Series with the Cubs' win. Everything was riding on that one game and the two teams were equally matched thus from beginning to the very last out, I and many other Cub fans were on edge. And since the game lasted 5 hours, our nerves were a mess and were shot by 1 am. That's too much!
Tomorrow night, the Cubs play the Dodgers for the NL pennant. I will be calmer then since I know that the Dodgers will probably beat the Cubs. But at least we got to this point. My only issue is that with this game starting tomorrow night at 8 eastern is that I am preaching on Sunday morning. I can't go from an intense game on Saturday evening to being peppy and focused on my sermon over night like that. So, I'll do my best to ignore the game and go to bed early. That will be a challenge considering I'm living in a split household - Dodgers fan and Cubs fans live in this house.

Tonight's Cubs Dodgers game was... sigh... I was so hopeful that we'd go into the 10th inning but then Big Red hit his nasty homerun. Pooh!

Tonight's Cubs/Dodgers game was more excitement than I could handle! WGN referred to them as "Cardiac Cubs" and they were right. I know that the Dodgers are the stronger team, but I still wanted the Cubs to win at least two games [though I'll take one] so that they could have a sense of accomplishment in the pennant race. It doesn't help that I am in a split household with a Dodger fan

So tonight's Dodgers/Astros game is significant for 2 reasons - it is the hottest WS game and it is the shortest one since 1992.

Tonight's Dodger win was a much more relaxing game than Sunday night's. That game was so phenomenal but very nerve wracking.
Going on to the 7th game!

Well, that 7th game took place. It is nice, after getting hit really hard by Harvey, that the Houston area has this bit of a morale booster.

So whomever picked the Astros on my poll is the winner! Thank I did, tho' only because the Diamondbacks weren't in the poll. (they were still a wild card contender when the poll was set up.) 😎 But I didn't feel badly at all when the Astros got to be in the Series. After all, tho' it was a short time, I lived in TX for awhile. I got to go to the Astrodome & saw Nolan Ryan, & Aurelio Lopez who used to be a (Detroit) Tiger. And after being hit hard by Harvey, figured Houston could use this encouragement about now, too.
