Well, it was worth a try. I posted a link to this site on the NazNet facebook page and it was quickly deleted. I guess they see this as competition. I hope NazNet isn't copyrighted... I saw the link, and I suspected it wouldn't last. I did receive a very nice message. I understand completely. I have been thinking about the whole NazNet name and wondering if using it will cause too much confusion.

As far as I can tell it will always use display name if one was entered. I would like to see if I can make display name mandatory. Until then, we can just ask people to update their display name. Nope. That's why I wrote. Marsha Lynn was already here, so I figured it'd be an easy test. But msg area apparently wants the username that was not allowing spaces like the display name, once that was added, & it didn't at all like display name. Hmmm . . . .(UNLESS that's already changed, too). Will check later. You are correct, it is looking for the username. The easiest way to send a message is to go to the members tab and select the display name to message. You can also select multiple names and then actions, send message.

In honor of Luke Finch hopefully finding a new forum home. I am including this video to demonstrate how Luke might be feeling. Watch the whole video to get the whole effect. I am not implying Luke is like the woman in the video, just that the reaction might be similar. Trust me you will love it. It is awesome at the 2 min. mark.

If you want a new name, how about NazNet2?

Helpful feature.
As threads start to get longer, it is nice to automatically go to the last post in a thread. This can be done by clicking on the thread under the "Last Post" column.
Also, if there is a "New" indicator next to a thread's subject name, clicking it will take you directly to the first new post.

If you want a new name, how about NazNet2? There used to be an email server group called NazTalk. I doubt anyone "owns" that name. Save

Susan Unger directed me here, so if there's any problems it's her fault.

This forum seems to be pretty simple to use and easy to maintain. I would love to hear some suggestions on how to make this useful for the NazNet Family. Some of my thoughts: - I would like to see very little moderation. We all should be able to be Christlike in our conversations, even when we disagree.
- I am looking for volunteers for admin roles. I don't want to be the only one.
- Would like to leave it as an open forum, with only members able to post.
- The ProBoards forum will include advertisements. If the forum takes off, we have the option to pay to remove them. We'll see how that goes.
- Let me know what forums you would like to see. (Politics anyone???)
I think moderation is the key to the success of any forum. The day we can abolish the police is the day I believe we can do without moderation. Of course, we need to be Christlike in our conversation. But the moment you tell me that if I'm gay I'll go to hell unless I repent, you may consider that warning Christlike. I can pretty much guarantee you the receiver of that warning will not. For me, the success of the forum then depends on what the moderators decide to do. Not trying to make things difficult but I am trying to be real. Been there, done that.

Don't think so either and we're talking mid 90's. Long time ago. I think that is a great name. I went to check on it and it was available so I picked it up. I was worried someone not friendly to this site would do it. I will sign it over to whoever wants it. It's forwarding to this site now.

Well, it looks like it's official. NazNet.com is no longer accepting new posts.
Thanks for providing a place to note this development, Kevin.
